Karen's Mom.

Karen's on her way as I write this to Panama City Beach to be with her Mom and Dad. Her Mom's health has been bad for about a week now and this morning Karen's Dad called to say he had Mom taken to the hospital by ambulance. He was not able to wake her, so he call 911. Karen flew out about 10:00 a.m. and her brother John is flying out about 2:30 p.m. Please keep them in your prayers. We are in that stage of life when our parent's health is a concern. Dan and Lisa and David and Susan are going through similar experiences. I will keep everyone posted as soon as I hear from Karen. Mom is on a breathing tube and they are running xrays, cat scans, etc. to see if they can figure out what is going on. So long for now.

Dish

Dish returns to Montana for trout not horses.

I had the opportunity last week to go fly fishing on the Bitterroot River in Darby, Montana. As you can see, the scenery is amazing and the fishing was great. No I'm not drunk, that just my fish face. I wish my Little Red River and Lonesome Dove buddies were with me on this trip. My boss, our human resource director and I were guests on an attorney we do business with. As you can see we stayed in a real dump of a shack (it belongs to the attorney). I think we're paying him too much. The sky really is BIG out there.

Paddle faster - I hear banjo music!

Some of us have decided to go back to the Smokies this year for a few days beginning October 12. Who wants to go with us?

Family Reunion this summer.

This summer we hosted the Christofferson family reunion in Panama City Beach. Karen did a great job in planning this fun four days together with family from Utah, Texas, Florida, and Tennessee.

Susan and Claire had fun with some second or third cousin (I can't keep up with that stuff). Susan roomate Kelly Nelson was able to go with us and was a big help with all of the work that we had to do.

I know you're going to find it hard to believe, but Karen made me sit like that for this picture at the Treasure Ship Resturant. She always been a cut-up, you just can't take her out anywhere. We miss you all and if you make it to the Memphis area, give us a call. See you soon.

Much love from the Greene's.

Haylee and Tony's Wedding

Mark and Gail gave Haylee and Tony a wonderful wedding. As you can see we all had a great time. We have now reached that point in life when we are going to our kid's weddings. Bring out the Geritol. Yes that is Steve doing the Blues Brothers dance. What you can see is that we all joined him on the dance floor and Sam, Steve, and Greene gatored. We hope to hear from you soon.

Kim & Joel Taylor

You guys remember Kim & George Taylor and their son Joel!

Kim and George are no longer married, but both are living in the Chattanooga area. Joel just graduated from Harding and has decided to be a youth minister. He is currently looking, so if you know of any opportunities, let us know and we'll pass the info on.

We had the great pleasure of having Kim and Joel at our house this weekend and had a great time. Kim's energy and sense of humor are undiminished and she kept us laughing the whole time.

What is this?

Wednesday, August 23, 2006

This year during the weekend of the 4th of July, Mark & Gail had us over to their place for swimming, horseshoes, fried turkey and loads of fun!

This last May was a busy month! Susan and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary by driving over to the Biltmore for a few days. Wonderful place! We should all try and go together during the Christmas season.

Glad you're back, Deets! We like this new-fangled digital world, but we are slow to use it.

Here are a couple of pictures from Orange Beach, AL back in May. Can you tell which couple is Susan and me? The other couple is Lauren and her boyfriend, Andrew. He is from Zachary, LA and is a starting offensive guard for the Ole Miss football team. He will graduate in May of 2007 with a degree in Business Administration. Lauren is still managing the Marimekko boutique in downtown Oxford.

Jay & Andrew

This is the three of us at Copper in March. Just the guys. Very relaxing.

Jay has just begun a year with AmeriCorps in Los Angeles working with hispanic kids in a middle school. His goal is to help them and their parents become aware of the importanc of higher education and aware of the many resources available to low income famililes. He's really enjoying his work and really, really enjoying being a single guy living near the UCLA campus. He is beginning the process of applying to several law schools for entrance a year from now.

Andrew just went back to Searcy to begin his junior year at Harding. He has decided he wants to go to medical school and is working on a double major in biochemistry and microbiology. He's definitely shaping up to be a 5th year student! He just finished "shadowing" one of the doctors I work with for two days and got to spend a morning observing an open-heart surgery. He thought it was "awesome" and was very fired up to go back and work really hard.

Caitlin turned 16 in May

Caitlin was the sophomore homecoming rep last year and was elected junior class secretary for this year. She has stopped cheerleading and has joined the tennis team and is working on the yearbook staff. She started back to school last Monday and seems to be enjoying her junior year at Central Arkansas Christian so far.

Lisa turned 50 in May!!!

All of us after celebrating Lisa's 50th.

Some Old Friends

Does anyone remember these old folks?
