Thank you all very much!!!

We want to thank all of you for you love shown to Karen, her Dad Jack, and her brother John in the loss of her Mom, Lorraine. If you were able to attend the memorial service you heard what a sweet lady she was. Please keep the family in your prayers as Dad and Karen will be going through Mom's things and deciding on what to do with them. You guys are truly family.

Love,

Two Beautiful Women Celebrate Their 50th in Florida.

Karen and Lisa had a great time together in Panama City Beach this summer. I agreed not to post the picture of the day they went to muscle beach (just kidding girls). They are the youngest 50 year old women that I've ever seen. Their husbands definately look their age. Where are the swimsuit pictures?

Memphis Zoo

If you have not been to the Memphis Zoo in a while you need to try to go this fall while the weather is better. It's really becoming a world class zoo. The new Northwest Passage section is great! Brenda and I went on labor day this week and I took a few pictures. The weather was perfect. It was a little cooler and overcast so all of the animals were active - except the polar bears. Check the times for the polar bear feeding when you get there and don't miss it. It's incredible to see.

Alaska - Unbelievable Beauty

Well gang, I just returned from a week of fishing in south central Alaska, with Mark Reed, "Dangerous" Dave Van Epps, and Ron Darby. What incredible scenery God put in that frontier region!! We caught halibut in Cook's Inlet south of Homer and silver salmon out of the Kenai River and Big River Lake. We saw whales, seals, sea lions, grizzley bears, moose, bald eagles, etc., etc. I'm grateful to have seen (and still overwhelmed by) the natural beauty there.

Megan

Lisa and I had the pleasure of seeing Megan last night who was with a bunch of kids we know who are friends of Jay and Andrew from school. She is as cute as she can be and is always very sweet to us old folks.
We were there in the River Market to hear a band from U of A in Fayetteville perform "A Tribute to the Radio Heads". The son of some friends at church is the drummer. Not exactly our kind of music, but it was so fun seeing the college kids we know.
Gus and Brenda, you guys did good!
