Ozark Wedding

About a month ago we all attended the wedding of the son of old and dear friends I grew up with here in Little Rock. The bride is from Gainsville, MO and the wedding was outside at her parents' farm in the beautiful southern Missouri Ozarks about 5 miles north of Gainsville. The wedding from start to finish had a definite regional flavor. The music throughout the wedding (processional and recessional) was bluegrass and country provided by none other than the ArkaMo Rangers. They also provided the music for square dancing during the reception in the barn. I'd have to say that it was one of the coolest weddings I've ever attended. Woodrow, Dish, and Gus - you guys would have really liked it. Here's some pics I took:

Deets,
Is this one of those "you might be a redneck if". The reason I'm asking is because that kind of wedding appeals to me. I must have a little redneck in me. That may surprise some of you (hold on while I get rid of some tobacco juice). It looks like a perfect day for an outside wedding. Wish I was there.

Deets,
Now that is having a wedding like you want it! I love the hay bales being used as seats. And what beautiful country . . . I can hear that fiddle music now . . .

Then count me in the redneck croud too Dish. I think this is what a fancy wedding is supposed to look like!
